Make Hackney Snow
We brought tech to the streets of East London and gave people something no British Christmas ever guarantees: snow on demand.
To show off the full force of EE’s tech wizardry, we turned the streets of Hackney into an interactive snow zone. A few taps on a phone was all it took for people to trigger their own mini blizzard — complete with Dean Martin’s Let It Snow.
Instead of lights and tinsel, we built our own system from scratch: custom electronics, a bespoke app, and five rooftop snow cannons — all powered by EE’s 4G network. Because if you’re going to make Christmas sparkle, why not do it with actual snowfall?

Bringing EE’s positioning as the network “for your digital life” to life.
